Author Guidelines

A. General Requirements

  1. The manuscript must be written in good and correct English or Bahasa Indonesia.

  2. Manuscripts must be a minimum of 6 pages, using A4 paper size (21 cm x 29.7 cm).

  3. Manuscripts must use the official IJES template, available on the journal’s website.

  4. Similarity index must not exceed 25%, checked using Turnitin or equivalent plagiarism software.

  5. References must be managed using reference management tools such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote. If entered manually, ensure the citation and bibliography style follows the IEEE reference format.

  6. Manuscripts that do not comply with the above requirements will not be processed for review.

B. Manuscript Structure

IJES encourages authors to structure their manuscripts as follows:

Title

  • Concise, clear, and informative

  • Reflects the objective, method, and subject of the research

  • Avoid uncommon acronyms or abbreviations

Abstract

  • Written in one paragraph (150–250 words)

  • Should not include references or citations

  • Must contain:

    • Background (1–2 sentences)

    • Objectives and methods (2–3 sentences)

    • Main results (5–8 sentences)

    • Conclusion (1–2 sentences)

  • Include 3–5 relevant keywords

Introduction

  • Explains the background and rationale for the study

  • Defines the objectives and scope

  • Reviews related research and highlights the novelty/contribution

Literature Review (optional but recommended)

  • Presents relevant theories or previous findings

  • Shows the positioning and originality of the current study

Research Methodology

  • Describes the approach, design, data collection techniques, instruments, location, and data analysis methods

  • Written in sufficient detail to allow replication

Results and Discussion

  • Presents research data clearly and systematically

  • Discussion relates findings to theory and previous studies

  • Tables, figures, or illustrations may be included as necessary

Conclusion

  • Summarizes the key findings

  • May include implications or recommendations for future research

Acknowledgment (optional)

  • For parties who contributed significantly to the research (e.g., funders, institutions, individuals)

References

  • Minimum 15 references, with at least 80% from scientific journals and 20% from books

  • References should be published within the last 10 years

  • Use IEEE citation style
